Keerat (she/her) initially found her passion for Model UN after being peer pressured to join the club by a good friend in high school. Thankfully she listened, because Model UN has brought about some of her best memories, best friends and craziest stories! During the school year, Keerat loves spending time with friends frequenting new coffee and bubble tea spots in between her lectures and back-to-back-to-back midterms. She's passionate about combining science with public policy and loves to see students of all academic interests find a home at UTMUN. Now 7 years into her MUN career, Keerat is ecstatic to be UTMUN's Secretary-General where she can relentlessly promote the amazing conference, it's spectacular committees and one-of-kind delegate experience!
Meet Cindy, currently living the Euro Girl Summer and enjoying her gelato in Rome. Indeed, travelling is her Roman Empire, as she is making some progress on her travel bucket list. It is a bittersweet moment for her to embark on the final year of her MUN journey. She cherishes every MUN-bonding moment with the wonderful UTMUN staff and delegates.
Aisha is an incoming third year student at the University of Toronto Mississauga. She has been doing MUN since high school and has staffed many conferences. She’s most excited about planning conference initiatives that will engage delegates and to make memories with the staff. She loves speaking with FAs and delegates, so if you see her, come say hi! Outside of MUN, Aisha’s passionate about research and is holding three research scholarships this summer. From biomedical physics to pedagogy studies, she will be more than happy to rant. Cooking is her passion, so you can always find her making dinner when she has an assignment due.
Harvi Karatha is a fourth year Engineering Science student specializing in Engineering Maths, Stats, and Finance with a minor in AI. After doing varied roles in UofT’s major MUN conferences over the past three years (everything from Equity Director at UTMUN to USG Internal at SSICSIM, etc.), she is so excited to work with the External Branch at UTMUN 2025 to make this conference so special. When she isn’t in engineering lectures, she is usually completing fun side quests like business case competitions with ACE UTSG, a cappella competitions with TBA, cafe hopping, etc.
Braden, currently a sophomore at RC specializing in accounting, is marking his sixth year of participation in MUN. What keeps him returning year after year is the people; because without them, he would have quit immediately six years ago. This summer, Braden plans to spend his well-earned resting time glossing over spreadsheets and client emails at an accounting internship—exciting, right? On a happier note, this year, he is most excited about the prospect of being able to spend more money, feeling there's no greater joy than spending money that's not from his own bank account. So, keep your eyes peeled for events regarding a certain Canadian Tower this year.
Riko is an incoming second year student, majoring in Political Science and International Development Studies. Participating at the UTMUN last year as a Page was an incredibly engaging experience for her, which sparked her passion to take on a more involved role. She is extremely thrilled to be part of the Secretariat and looks forward to helping create a respectful and comfortable environment during the conference. After coming back from her annual trip to Japan to see her relatives and eat lots of food, Riko returned to Toronto to complete an internship at the Constituency Office of Member of Provincial Parliament Andrea Hazell. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, photography, drinking coffee, and hanging out with her roommate aka her older sister.
Adaora is a second year student double majoring in peace conflict and justice and criminology. She’s thrilled to be part of UTMUN this year for the first time as Deputy Director of Equity, and looks forward to assisting her fellow director in making this year’s conference a safe and welcoming environment for all delegates. In her free time, you can find her buried in a book, writing stories, cracking a logic puzzle and crying over her favourite shows.
Pranav has been involved with Model UN since his first year of high school, and particularly has an affinity for the intersectionality of business and policy. He has always loved the ethos Model UN has espoused, and he is really excited to see his General Assemblies committees take shape, since he firmly believes it’s the best branch, sorry not sorry. If you can’t find him yapping away with the ground floor security guard at UofT's Robarts Library, you’ll likely find him trying and critiquing new food spots, engrossed in a historical fiction novel, or binge-watching true crime shows. A fun fact about Pranav is that he once took a six hour Uber ride from Toronto to Ottawa (wouldn’t recommend it) and once tried to teach himself conversational Pig Latin.
Rameen is in her final year studying International Relations, Public Policy, and Economics. She is thrilled to be Director of ECOSOC and looks forward to another year of unhinged committees and good times! In her free time, she enjoys finding Toronto's best gluten-free eats, reading books on the history of espionage, going to board game cafes, and listening to All Too Well (10 minute version). A fun fact about her is that she has had COVID five times. She cannot wait to meet all the brilliant delegates at UTMUN 2025 :)
Now in her final year of UofT and UTMUN, Isabella Perdigon is hoping to make the best of this year as Director of Specialized Agencies. She’s been involved with Model UN for the past four years and considers it a large and vital part of her life. Majoring in Political Science and minoring in Latin American studies and Philosophy, Isabella is interested in culture and politics through the different ways it is expressed through MUN. She spends her very little free time painting, playing with her dog, and watching movies. This year, she hopes to make the delegate and staff experience positive for all!!
Ngila Stone is a third year student double majoring in International Relations and History with a minor in East Asian Studies. She has been part of the MUN community for the past 5 years and has enjoyed everything from being a press delegate to rewriting and editing rules of procedure. She joined the UofT MUN world by moderating a crisis committee and has not looked back since. She's currently enjoying her summer being outside, going on bike rides, and preparing for creativity and chaos.
Daisy has been involved with Model UN for the past five years, UTMUN 2022 being one of her first conference experiences at UofT. From the first moment, MUN and crisis captivated her. Conferences were portals that teleported her into historical and fictional worlds where creativity had no bounds, an experience that she hopes to share with delegates at UTMUN. Outside of Model UN, you can find Daisy roaming the floors of Robarts and Bahen studying for summer school, or hanging out at New College where she's working at an international exchange program. An avid web novel and manga enthusiast, outside of Model UN, Daisy loves to read. This summer, she hopes to dive into her reading list, get back into painting, go swimming at the athletic center pool, and finally try that almond croissant coffee cake recipe she’s been saving…
Mehek is a fourth-year student double majoring in Criminology & Sociolegal Studies and Political Science. She began her MUN journey in middle school as a way to connect with new people after moving, and quickly developed a passion for the stimulating debates and intellectual challenges it offers. Throughout her academic career, Mehek has interned at a law firm in Taipei, focusing on various aspects of legal research, and is currently engaged in Myanmar-oriented policy work. She’s excited to collaborate with Harmanpreet to hire and train the incredible staff that make UTMUN so special. As she enters her final year of college, Mehek is both nostalgic and eager to make the most of her time on the beautiful campus, embracing every opportunity that comes her way.
Harmanpreet is entering her third-year in the Rotman Commerce program specializing in Management with focuses in Finance, Strategy and Data Science. Now entering her 6th year of her Model UN journey, she has attended conferences across seas, made countless motions to open debate and the most beautiful memories. At UTMUN 2025, she is beyond excited to work with Harvi to hire and train our amazing staff that make the conference so special! If Harmanpreet isn't studying for an exam, you'll find her reading, travelling or at a networking event.
This year for Brand & Design, we have Ethan Currie. They are a 2nd year student going into philosophy and political science. They Started Model UN in Grade, 12 with their first conference being SSICSim 2022 (and now they’re a director there). Furthermore, they found that MUN isn't just about debating world issues but also about building worlds and story, something they do in their own spare time already (this has also transpired into an obsession with Cyberpunk (not just 2077, but all the TTRPGs as well) please do not mention Cyberpunk near them, they will veer off task and not stop talking about it). With this much creativity flowing, having done art and design for years, they are sure to make this conference a beauty to behold.
Iva is a second year student double majoring in Political Science and Ethics, Society, and Law. She started her UTMUN journey in her first year at UofT as a Crisis Analyst for the Ad-Hoc committee and has been a member of staff ever since. She is currently doing a legal internship and hopes to pursue law school in the future.
Audrey is a third year student pursuing a double major in International Relations and Computational Cognitive Science as well as a minor in Computer Science. Audrey has been involved in MUN since highschool, participating as a delegate and as a part of her highschool’s secretariat team. You can often find her at her sewing machine, with a crochet hook or pair of knitting needles in hand, beading, or watercolour painting (that is if she isn’t in the library). She is so looking forward to UTMUN this year and is especially excited to see all the wonderful delegates!
Max Wong is an incoming third-year political science specialist with a minor in urban studies. His journey with Model United Nations began at university, where he discovered his passion for debate and global issues. As UTMUN's Director of Delegate Experience, Max is dedicated to creating a vibrant and engaging educational environment for all delegates. He is enthusiastic about UTMUN 2025 and aims to enhance delegate engagement through innovative workshops and dynamic social events.
Adrian is currently studying political science and biochemistry at the University of Toronto. Their journey in Model United Nations began with a fascination for diplomacy and global affairs, which led then to participate in and now help organize events like UTMUN. This summer, they'll be focusing on logistics for UTMUN and working on exciting projects with the University of Toronto STEM Research Initiative (UTSRI), which they co-founded to connect students with research opportunities. A recent accomplishment they are proud of is co-chairing Trinity's Winter Ball at the AGO. For the 2024-2025 school year, they are eager to engage in meaningful discussions and projects that bridge academia and real-world issues.
